hi, just for info for all the people, i open an account with 3.500 usd mid december, my equity in this moment is 1.156, trading the minimun lots, and these people in shadow banker, only add to loosing positions, i have 7 mini lots open now, against the trend, for everyone, please be carefull with these guys
Subscribed on 9 jan 09 and system went immediately into a tailspin and had its biggest drawdown, 33K loss, in just 1 trade (gbp/usd, 3 big figures out of court without cutting the position...). The typical mistakes of discretionary trading (as opposed to systematic trading) showed themselves as soon as I subscribed: vendor is unable to take a loss, tries to average himself out of a bad position, overleverages and overtrades in an attempt to make the loss back. As soon as the pressure of handling real money occurs, the "system" starts losing. This is a very harsh but fair judgement, as the figures will show. Loss: 25K and I'm cutting the position and my subscription.
What has happened to money management since January 5? Every subscriber should be ALARMED at what has taken place since then. A 90+% winning percentage means NOTHING if one loss wipes out a substantial portion of your gains--it's much better to take some small losses along the way if it keeps you in the game. I hope the system developer reads this and modifies the trading going forward. Everything I made in the last month was wiped out in the last several days--very demoralizing indeed.
First 4 trades - Lost %60+ of my account in a few hours...
I received an E-Mail from Bulldog, @ 12:29 am, saying that my account was disabled due to a "margin call" -- So I looked @ it and found a %60 loss.
Demo Account with Bulldog through FXCM.
Opened the account a day or two back, with no trades made, until
Today 4 trades were made that Demolished the account.
This provider will risk about 10% of his account on 1 single trade and will add to a losing position to average down. The prudent thing would be to close the losing position at a loss which he refuses to take. You know what they say about those who refuse to take a loss...
There is no reason to subscribe here, too many good systems like shadow banker out there. The system description is a lie, or they forgot the 0 after the 2%, which I doubt. Make themselves out to be prfessional in the description and web site, hardly the case, just stay away, not worth it to lose weeks worth of profits in a day.
With 79% of months profitable, a sharpe ratio of 2.87 and 3.4:1 PL ratio, this has to be one of the best systems on C2. Ride out the next drawdown (that one will come is a certainty) and 12 month from now I think you and I will be sitting on top of a nice pile of profit.
I wish the vendor would start charging for the system and in turn have someone monitor it in order to avoid the occasional errors or system failures with C2.
Great system, great developer, very active in discussion with subscribers and constantly working to improve the system.
System had a couple bad months due to astounding de-leveraging in the markets (and government intervention), but is now back on track.
Over all, even if you had followed the system to the letter, you'd still be ahead. Many of us decided to sit it out for a while while the government was temporarily suspending capitalism and did much better than the C2 results.
Also, I've only know the developer for about six months, and I've never hear him 'crow' about anything, much less his system. Not exactly sure who that other commenter is writing about...
Dave Narby
draw downs are very large.as you see system already lost most of its capital in open draw down.no stop loss what so ever, how you trade system like this.one can loose their shirt fast in a heart beat.
Very dangerous!
This trading system has no protection or stop loss what-so-ever.
Risks a lot of money for small profit and or large loss.
In this volatile market if it moves opposite to his positions, he will loose it all due to no stop loss and may not be able to recover at all.
I was expecting him to be more conservative after two extra ordinary months of profits.
A reply to the Nov 17th reviewer, you are 100% correct, no matter how good the vendors intentions are after a short period he will be proven wrong again and again.
Why would anyone want to sell a system that was a consistant winner...
Another bitter lesson on the use of historical data to predict future market moves. There could not be a harder-working vendor, or one more dedicated to keeping his subs informed. Unfortunately, the market often does not act in the deliberate, controlled, way that previous events would predict. The monthly returns above are stark evidence of what the real world gives forth.
It's really too bad..I had a lot of hope for this system..and will limp away with a large part of my posterior missing.
My view, after being burned by a couple of C2 systems..and seeing my own system fail, and whipsaw..is that I am done with timing systems and will invest heavily in income-producting fixed assets.
The negative reviews are a result of 2 things - poor understanding of autotrading, and a lunkhead who complains that a great free system does not answer emails. Does he want a free house and free million to go with that too? Still young, but this may be one of the best system on C2. Sharpe of almost 7, APD of 1 and 4 straight months of over 23% monthly returns? get real, clueless reviewer...
This replaces my former review. Matt at C2 told me about ITM, which is a nice C2 feature but fairly well-hidden. Watching that, it's now clear the Email delays are wholly an artifact of C2, not the system operators - one mail today didn't actually leave C2's servers until 21 minutes after the first trade it contained. As for the system itself, it has a net loss since I've been watching but again that's too short a time to draw real conclusions. Some trades still don't have PRE-SET stops so that leaves the door open to Murphy's Law calamities.
This is one more system I am disappointed. This vendor refuses to take when he has good profit because of his wide stop loss and take profit orders because of this issue huge profit trade runs into deep loss. He does not adjust his stops when system is in profit or take a loss when trade is going bad.
The couple of 2-star reviews came from people who are manually trading this system. I don't think this system can be traded manually unless you are glued to the ITM window and have the possible trades lined up with your online broker (I did this for a couple of days). Autotrading is the way to go. I've only traded this system for a couple of weeks, but made very good money the first week and about broke even the second week. I believe the system uses internal stops, because it never draws down more than $1K per contract. I would prefer broker stops in case C2 goes down, but I can live with it.
Style is very good and obviously automated. 1 star missing due to length of track record, and what I think are likely issues revolving around the vendor's signal platform having hiccups with the C2 interface.
The name of this system is wrong and deceptive. It should be "Turn $1300 to $300 In One Week." That"s what happened to my money from 10/31/08 to 11/6/08.
The creator of this system does not answer emails (at least not mine). I wrote to him, but no answer.
The calls come in such a rapid succession that I was not able to follow them.
