Reviews of Test Timer Ultra

Test Timer Ultra

Had to unsubscribe after 3 months of losses. He just will not follow basic principals of trend following. If the markets were more choppy he might have done well. But in this Fed induced manipulated market, some types of technical trading just won't work.

Test Timer Ultra

Can't hold on any longer although this system could turn around and put together a string of winners. No disastrous trades but small ones which over time are drawing down my equity along with the $100 monthly fee. There's better systems around but I will keep Timer on my watch list

Test Timer Ultra

I have been a subscriber for several months. Some of them were positive, but most negative. I think this system was excellent when the market was driven more by pricing, momentum, and technical fundamentals such as slow stochastics. I think that right now this system is ineffective because the market psychology and direction is driven predominantly by the latest policy decisions and earnings releases. I will let my subscription end now until the system starts to be able to predictably function in the existing market conditions.

With developer dreaming of the coming market crash , account value shrink each day. How long can it be learned that Mr. Market is always right? Anything blocking his way will be crushed, like a pathetic bug.

Test Timer Ultra

Came over from the other version of ETF Timer but I think both of these will move about the same. The other system averaged 5 percent a month through 2008, 2009 up to June of 2010 which is very good IMO. It took a few wrong turns recently but I will hold out for a while to see if it comes back to its previous returns.

Test Timer Ultra

This developer needs to do two things: 1) Create versions of ETF Timer and ETF Timer Ultra that are long-only (2008 was an anomaly; over the long run, long-only trend-following systems can produce strong risk-adjusted returns, whereas those that go short do not); 2) Only charge subscribers when the system is profitable during the 30-day subscription period (or switch to quarterly subscription periods and do the same thing). Until this happens, you can add me to the list of long-time subscribers that are done with this developer. I’ve learned a very expensive lesson.

Test Timer Ultra

The vendors indicators have stopped working, which he stubbornly refuses to accept. Time to move on.

Test Timer Ultra

System developer has a lot of class and integrity and communicates well with subscribers. His indicators are not working any more. We do not have a free market these days. Prices are not discounting to fundamentals but are based upon how much liquidity is provided by the Fed to its primary dealers or investment banks, primarily through its POMO activities, which now represent over 70% of market volume. These dealers can bring on a flash crash any time they choose. A system like ETF Timer/Ultra that is either all long or all short but not hedged is just getting chewed up. I'm sorry to be unsubscribing and would consider re-subscribing if the markets ever regain some semblance of order and fair dealing.

Test Timer Ultra

This system is nearly identical to the developer's other system, ETF Timer. As you can see from ETF timer, his signals have stopped working since mid-year and have been consistently losing money. I am unsubscribing.

Test Timer Ultra

I have decided to leave the system for awhile. I do not understand the technical indicators that the system is using to time the trades. The only one I can see that is being used is the relative overbought and oversold indicators, which have never been reliable.

Test Timer Ultra

ETF Timer systems have a strong track record. So rating these and other strong systems with one star only proves the rater is a fool. A few losing trades does not make a bad system and vis versa.

Test Timer Ultra

Shorting the market in the middle of a range ahead of 2 POMO days just does not pay well. This system seems to make money when it gets on the right side of a trend early but it also loses money when it gets head faked which seems to happen more than it should.

Test Timer Ultra

I am gradually reducing my exposure to ETF Timer due to continuing poor results. I really hate to be short every time the market bounces 2-3 percent. And that seems to be what is happening.

Test Timer Ultra

Developer has gone back to his intra-day trades that worked extremely well from 1/07 thru 1/10. His first trade was solidly positive here and he has picked a great entry again this morning. Mojo back, get onboard now.
