I discovered the auto systems experts here at C2 and was very drawn to Craig's S&P index system and impressive results. Since joining we've been bruised a little but I'm confident Craig can regain his pattern of 3 steps forward and 1.5 back that got him to this point. Craig is going to get a few more weeks to coil his spring in a matter of speaking. All system that can deliver over 100% have heathy draw down at times. I'm giving Craig the benefit of the doubt here that his signals and methods are sound. I'll set my figurative stop loss down 20% from here on out with Craig, but he'll not let that trigger. He and the S&P will get in synch soon enough.
Good trades, but then saw a big drawdown, that will clean many small accounts, he recovered, then later big drawdowns came again, and trades with Extreme risk, and with big losses, you are at risk 30K to 50K USD by averaging the trades and hope, that the trades will get with profit or breakeven, traders know, that average down is risky, but there's a time when you must see, that those trades will not get better and must get out.
Your account must be big to support this, i will not trade it anymore, the author seems nice and gives personal messages to everyone time to time, but i will not give 5 stars because of drawdowns and several contracts holding overnight, which if it's not possible to you to maintain, will make the diference on your final balance to less money than it shows here.
I started autotrading Slow and Steady with a demo account at OpenECry and liked the consistent and reliable style of the trader. I am now autotrading this system and seeing decent returns (still with OEC). There are occasional drawdowns but the recovery of these is excellent and communication back to subscribers is solid. I feel there is a good approach to risk management in place and the incremental gains are certainly rewarding the trust in this trader. I am hoping that he can continue to deliver this well for the next year.
I had pretty much given up on C2 since I had subscribed to a few systems that had nice curves and history, only to be wiped out soon after. Many systems do not provide the proper allocation scaling for trading via C2 (A science unto itself). However, I thought I would try this since it seemed the vendor was active in the forums. The vendor is not only an excellent trader, but he emails subscribers if he is going to hold a position overnight; a valuable trait if your broker's margin is a bit steep. He also emails you to update his thoughts on a current trade. He has recently scaled the system so you can allocate your trades in 10% increments as explained very thoroughly on this intro page. So, I recommend this system. It's profitable and provided by a gentleman with integrity.
I've tried 8 other systems this past year and this is the best! Far and above the others. He doesn't start a trade and let it play through with out watching it. Because I can see that Craig adjusts to the market as he move through each trade, if needed. He's signals are accurate. His nerves are steady and calm. He is disciplined. His money management skills are very good. Drawdowns are kept to a minimum. Profitable trades are as reported. Auto trading through TB to IB. Looking into C2 generation 2 to Open E Cry.
The system is called slow and steady, but its gains have been anything but slow. If you want to profit in eMini S&P futures, THIS IS YOUR SYSTEM. I’ve traded it since 8/3/07 and AutoTraded via IB/TradeBullet (scales well). You can see that during even the most trying market (many other systems died), s&s performed very well. A better word for the "slow" aspect of s&s is "disciplined”. This is key: When subscribing, you get more than trade signals. You get the skills of the man behind it, who plans the trades well, doesn't flinch, and is disciplined and skilled enough to improve the basis when he can (see description). You get exactly what is advertised: consistent profits with little drawdown. In short, it's a great system with a top-notch trader behind it. Sign up for a trial and see!
I have been auto-trading Slow and Steady signals on a demo account at OpenECry since 1 month and I am seeing one of the most consistent traders I have ever known ( 10 years trading ). The psycholgy of the trader and his quiet nerves are much more reliable than the best software-based strategies - profit are steady and drawdowns are kept to a very sound level- the ability to recover drawdowns is amazing - I am planning to live trade this strategy (auto-traded tru OEC) very soon -
